Classifying business activity is an imprecise art. Slice Mind’s AI-powered business context service can classify business activity based on a website, a series of keywords, or a single sentence. This service can be tuned to return a variety of industry standard classification codes (including NAICS, SIC, NCCI, GL), or be custom-trained on internal classification systems. In addition, this service can classify businesses working across multiple industries, which permits precise definition of complex business risk for insurance.
Cyber Risk Modeling
Calculate a real-time cyber risk score using external network footprint data, historical data breach trends, and non-intrusive algorithms. With user permission, it can also perform a ‘deep scan’, which probes for more subtle vulnerabilities. Our model then returns a comprehensive dataset and report suggesting actionable ways to reduce cyber risk.
By revealing the geographic distribution of risk, Slice Mind’s geographic scoring API service helps insurers make ongoing pricing, underwriting, and claim settlement decisions with continuous adjustments from ML and AI. It facilitates evidence-based decision making and up-to-date insights into geographic risks and environmental hazards.

We trained a cyber insurance smart underwriting model
using a dataset of ~30M US companies and open source cyber security and breach data.
We built an automotive test app that generated 1000s of signals per trip,
and used the resulting data to calculate distance, discover trips, and classify stops vs. movement to determine the best way to price and underwrite rideshare activities.
